Breaking Barriers and Achieving Dreams: My Desire of Becoming an Executive Virtual Professional

Working as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) is definitely a challenging experience for me. Being away from my family and loved ones, adjusting to new environments, and dealing with cultural differences are just some of the difficulties that I face.

However, for us many OFWs, the dream of earning a higher income for our families back home is necessary to achieve financial stability.

For me as an OFW, after almost eight years of working abroad, the desire to be with my family full-time has become even stronger. This is where the idea of becoming an Executive Virtual Professional (EVP) comes in.

An EVP is a professional who provides executive-level administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients while working remotely. This type of work I think is ideal for me so I can work from home in the Philippines. Here are some reasons why I want to become an EVP:

  1. Flexibility – As an EVP, I have the flexibility to determine my hours of work. This means I can create a work schedule that works best for me and my family.
  2. Work-life balance – Unlike with traditional office jobs, working as an EVP allows me to strike a balance between work and personal life. This is important so I can spend more time with my family.
  3. High Earning Potential – As an Executive Virtual Professional I must be highly skilled; hence, I can command a high rate per hour, which is a very good way to earn a living. I can earn as much as I am earning in my overseas job, if not more. This means I can still provide for my family while staying at home.

Becoming an EVP requires training in various skills such as project management, social media management, digital marketing, and executive assistance so I juggle my time studying for an online career with Jomar Hilario, a Filipino Author of Virtual Careers, and a Filipino Online Marketing Guru. @https://bit.ly/vcebook2023

Working abroad as an OFW is a noble undertaking, but it’s also important to consider the sacrifices that come with it. Being away from family and loved ones for extended periods can take its toll, that’s why the EVP option is worth considering. With this career path, I can have the best of both worlds – earning a decent living and spending quality time with my family.
